Meat For Health, Fibre not so much
As the developed world moves more toward alternative protein sources like plant protein and insect protein, yes, insect protein is a thing and supposedly nutritious. Can’t say that I am a fan.
There are hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa that live a completely different lifestyle, and they seem more vital and happier than we do. They seem to suffer less from mental health problems, and their vitality is greater for a much longer period of their life.
Articles I have read about the Hadza people are simply amazing and extremely intriguing to me.
These people live a life with a diet rich in meat, fruit, and berries, honey and tubers. They seem to be far healthier and happier than the average city dweller.
Apparently the rich proteins and nutrients they receive from the wild game (Eland) which is a species of Antelope, is key to their vitality. They eat the organ meats though, which is different to how we consume meat.
Personally I think that many rich nutrients in the organs is what we miss out on, also if you think sustainability this would be a way that meat could be far more sustainable as a food source, when we eat the entire animal.(although much of what we don’t eat is used for pet food).
